Meet Bob the Drifter – one of the many important devises that collect data for CARTHE – in a fun video created by our friends at Waterlust.  Follow Bob on his important journey from the research vessel into the Gulf of Mexico, floating along with the ocean currents, and transmitting data via satellites back to scientists onshore.  The data can be used in computer models to help us predict where oil from a spill will end up, or where the currents will take larval fish or a person lost at sea.
